Love God more than yourself and more than your family
LOVE GOD MORE THAN YOURSELF AND MORE THAN YOUR FAMILY
Forgiveness comes because we love, and love comes because we forgave. If we forgive because we love, it means that we really forgave. But if we say that we forgave but we do not have love, it means that we did not forgive. Jesus said; forgive and you shall be forgiven, if you do not forgive, your heavenly Father will not forgive you. Peace be unto you. To have peace we must forgive. Pray to God and pray always, give always to charity. OBEY GOD’S COMMANDMENTS and increase in the acts of love, forgiveness, and kindness, may God bring redemption and PEACE to the world by your faith and by your good deeds?
COULD WE DISREGARD THE FAMILY’S LOVE FOR CHRIST’S SAKE AND FOR THE GOSPEL?
Jesus said: If you leave your love ones for my sake and for the Gospel’s you shall be rewarded 100 times in the world and in the world to come “eternal life”. Mark 10: 29
THE FIRST IS TO LOVE YOUR GOD FROM ALL YOUR HEART, AND THE SECOND IS TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF, ON THESE TOW COMMANDMENTS YOU HANG THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS, Matthew 22: 37 to 40.
THE FIRST TWO COMMANDMENTS
So with love we could replace God’s law, the following explanations are about love. First is to love your God, and to give for the Gospel more than you give for yourself and more than you give for your family.
How could we do it?
It is true that Jesus said that we must HONOR our parents as it is written in the Ten Commandments. Yes, Jesus said: if you love “mother, sister, daughter, more than I, you have no share in I.
We do have two commandments “to honor” and “to love”. God said: “Honor” your mother and father, and Jesus said Love your God from “all your heart” and from “all your mind”.
Jesus meant it in the way that if you leave the love ones without causing any harm for them for Jesus’ sake you will be rewarded 100 times. But I am sure that if you leave them and you cause them to suffer and to starve to death, Jesus will not accept it. Jesus meant it in the way that you should give Him more it means to love him more than your family, and more than your self. Jesus loves you more than Himself, He died for you and for all the peoples’ sins that He did not commit.
Jesus said if you love your God, and your neighbors as your self you don’t have to obey the law. It sounds as what Jesus did on the cross for us.
Would you sacrifice your life for others as Jesus did?
If you answered no, you must submit to the laws, because they are not many that can leave their families for Christ’s, and no one will give to his neighbor as he/she does for him/herself. Jesus did not command you to leave them but if you could, you shall be rewarded 100 times. But at least love and give to Jesus more, and if you do, you shall be rewarded, and if you do not, He still loves you, but you must submit to the law.
Could we leave our parents for Jesus’ and for the Gospel’s?
Many peoples left their parents to study in colleges or for jobs in different countries for many years. Also many people left parents to be with their wives and husbands. Also many peoples left their families to work in different countries and states to make money to support them, which is normal. Could you sacrifice some times for Jesus and for the Gospel?
THE SECOND COMMANDMENTS
The second commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself, it means that you give to your neighbor as you give to yourself and as you give to your family to get away with the law. But if you cannot obey this commandment you must submit to the laws, and the law tells us to “LOVE” your God and “HONOR” your parents.
For this reason Jesus gave this parable to show us that we can’t get away with the law, the law must remain. Because not many people have the love and the sacrifice that Jesus has for us. Jesus died and suffered and gave us the BEST of what He has, he died and suffered on the cross for us to live. He did accept His father’s will to be the sacrifice and the replacement of the sin’s offering to give us salvation, and because He loves us.
Please read Matthew 19: 19, Jesus said that you should HONOR your father and mother and you should LOVE your neighbor as yourself. In this scripture Jesus explained to us that you LOVE your neighbor as yourself, and to HONOR your parents. So the word LOVE was mentioned only for your God and for your neighbor, but NOT for your parents. Jesus said, “honor your father and mother”, and “love your neighbor as your self”.
And who is your neighbor? The neighbor is NOT the one that lives next door from your house only. Your enemy is your neighbor also, and the one that lives in the neighboring country is your neighbor also. And the one that you work with is your neighbor also. And all the churches from all religions are your neighbors also. The reason Jesus said that because the maternal love is in us since birth, even the animal mother loves its babies. But the real love that Jesus spoke about is to love your God first and love your neighbor second. It means also TO LOVE SOMEONE THAT DOESN’T LOVE YOU.
Jesus said, love your enemies, the reason Jesus commanded it because the maternal love is to love our parents and our children it is a love we were born with. But “to love our enemies” is not in us, the reason God place it as a commandment because it is a choice and we are free to chose. It is part of our temptation that God places it in his plan for this world. We are not forced to obey it but we shall be judged if we do not obey it. Loving God, it is a commandment, we are not forced to do it but we shall be judged if we do not obey it. For this reason Jesus said: LOVE God and your neighbor and HONOR your parents.
Someone asked Jesus about the greatest thing in the law. Jesus said it is to love your God first and to love your neighbor as yourself. On theses two commandment you hang all the law and the prophets, Matthew 22: 37 to 40.
So how could we get away with the laws with these two Commandments? The first one is to love your God and the second is to LOVE you neighbor (including your enemies, read the good Samaritan woman, in Luke 10:36) (The Samaritans are the Jews’ enemies)
When you love God first and love your neighbor and the ones that hate you and use you, it means that you can’t violate God’s laws at all with this kind of love. And when you do not violate God’s laws because of the love that you have for all the peoples it means that you do not have to submit to the rest of the laws.
But if you do not have the love that Jesus spoke about, then you must submit to God’s law. SO THE LAW MUST REMAIN IN FULL plus what Jesus added to it.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ON EARTH DO HAVE THIS KIND OF LOVE?
Not many, for that reason the people that don’t have the love that Jesus spoke about must submit to the law. Jesus said that you should love the one that doesn’t love you, He said: IF YOU LOVE THOSE WHO LOVE YOU, WHAT CREDIT IS THAT TO YOU? EVEN SINNERS LOVES THOSE WHO LOVE THEM. AND YOU DO GOOD TO THOSE WHO ARE GOOD TO YOU, WHAT CREDIT IS THAT TO YOU? EVEN SINNERS" DO THAT. AND IF YOU LEND TO THOSE FROM WHOM YOU EXPECT REPAYMENT, WHAT CREDIT IS THAT TO YOU? EVEN SINNERS LEND TO SINNERS, EXPECTING TO BE REPAID IN FULL.
BUT LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, DO GOOD TO THEM, AND LEND TO THEM WITHOUT EXPECTING TO GET ANYTHING BACK. THAN YOUR REWARD WILL BE GREAT, AND YOU WILL BE SONS OF THE MOST HIGH, BECAUSE HE IS KIND TO THE UNGRATEFUL AND WICKED, BE MERCIFUL, JUST AS YOUR FATHER IS MERCIFUL.
