why God allowed Moses to Kill all the women and the childrenFrom: UCJ CommentsWHY GOD ALLOWED MOSES TO KILL ALL THE MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN
The scripture reads: And we took all his cities at that time, killing the inhabitants of them, men and women and children. We left nothing of them: Deuteronomy 1: 34 There are many massacres stories in the Old Testaments, The Israelites killed women and children from the Amorites, the Canaanites. The Palestinians killed and massacre women and children during and after Moses also. We don’t know why God allowed the Israelites to kill innocent children. Moses said that God allowed him to give such order, Exodus 34: 16. The bible tells us another story when Moses order to kill the men women and children, but his captain didn’t kill them, then Moses said to him, keep only the virgin females children that didn’t have sex with men, but the male children you kill. The scripture reads: Moses said to them, why you have saved all the women alive? Behold theses caused the children of Israel through the counsel of Balaam to commit trespass against the lord in the matter of Peor, and there was plague among the congregation of the lord. Now therefore KILL every male among the little ones and KILL every woman that has known man by lying with him. But all the women children that have not known a man by lying with him keep alive for yourselves, Numbers 31: 15 to 18. God allowed the Israelites to massacre the strangers as the Canaanites and the Amorites etc… because the Israelites were getting plagues from those peoples. The reason that they kept the virgins ones because the disease that was spreading by sexual relations. The women that already had sex with men could have such plague. But the virgins’ women don’t have the plague because they never had sexual relations with men. It is easier to identify a virgin girl in those days. The reason that Moses killed the male children because male could have sexual relation without known if this person committed or not, it is not as the females that could be identify by their virginities. We don’t know the age of the children that were killed. I don’t believe that 1 to 8 years old male child or more could have erection to have sexual relation with a female. It is possible that the soldiers were killing the children that are over ten or twelve years old. It is possible that there are reasons for other massacres but the bible doesn’t mention about it. The bible tells us that God told the Israelites to kill all the Canaanites including children and women, God said: kill them all and don’t leave any one alive and if any one remain alive will be as a nails in your eyes and spears in your side. The scripture reads: God said to Moses, Cleansing the land, and dwell in it for I have given it you for a possession. And you shall divide it among you by lot. To the more you shall give a larger part, and to the fewer a lesser. To every one as the lot shall fall, so shall the inheritance be given. The tribes and the families shall divide the possession. BUT IF YOU DON’T KILL the inhabitants of the land: they that remain, SHALL BE AS NAIL IN YOUR EYES, AND SPEARS IN YOUR SIDES, and they shall be your ENEMIES in the land of your habitation. And whatsoever I had thought to do to them, I will do to you, Number 33: 54 to 56. In different translations as the bible society of Lebanon it reads (get them out of the land) instead (kill). We know that the Canaanites and the Palestinians remained in the land because the Israelites didn’t kill them all as God commanded, Israel facing many problems in the land as God prophesied. We don’t know if the word (nail in your eyes and spears in your sides) could mean a disease that could give such sickness or it was just an expression, the scripture in Numbers 31: 16 tells us that Israelites were getting plagues from the strangers is it the reason that God allowed them to kill for cleansing. I noticed that many Jews have poor sights; most of the Jewish children and the adults use eyeglasses. Is it in their genes, a sickness, or just coincidence? If it was a plague that Moses spoke about why the Canaanites, Amorites, the pagans and the Palestinians Arabs don’t have such poor visions. Or is it because God knew that the end of this world would be caused by a war between the Palestinian Moslem and the Israelites? We don’t know, we are just supposing. Jesus gave a prophecy in the book of Luke: WHEN YOU SHALL SEE JERUSALEM COMPASSED WITH ARMIES THEN KNOW THAT THE DESOLATION THEREOF IN NEAR, Luke 21: 20. We don’t know why God issue such statement to Moses? God gave a commandment that the Israelites must welcome the strangers and place them above themselves and the Israelites should be very low in the land that God gave to them, Deuteronomy 28: 43. It means that God gave the land of Canaanites to the Israelites in condition that the visitors (strangers) will be as the landlords in the Israel, but we don’t see such obedient from the children of Israel. It is possible that God allowed the Israelites to kill all the Canaanites during their invading to the Canaanites’ land. After the Israelites took the land God gave them different rules that concerns the strangers in the Promised Land. God gave a land of the Canaanites to his chosen peoples in conditions. So the Israelites must obey those laws in according to inherit the Promised Land. The main rule that God gave it to the Israelites that they can’t sale this land they are allowed to use it only. All the lands belongs to God, Leviticus 25: 23. A Jewish has to be very careful when he refuses a stranger and name him as stranger. This stranger could be one of Abraham’s seed. For the lord God said all nations should be blessed through Abraham. Not just for that reason, God said it because the Jews were strangers in Egypt also. The bible tells us that Moses kept 32 thousands virgin girls from the strangers that did not know men. Those virgin girls kept after the war for the Jews as wives. Numbers 31: 35 With this scripture we know that there is no pure Jewish on this earth. Also there are ten tribes of Israel that scattered in all nations of this world. It proves to us that many of the Jewish people are mixed with other races around the world. Even Moses married an Ethiopian woman, Numbers 12: 1 The following scripture tells us that God changed the name of his chosen. You shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen for the lord God shall slay you and CALL HIS SERVANTS BY ANOTHER NAME. Isaiah (65: 15) We are God’s chosen Children in obeying His Commandments. No one could gather or FILTER a pure Jewish from pure Gentile. There are many Jews that married with other nationalities around the world. And there are many Jewish men women that committed adultery with other nationalities. So could we filter the pure Jews in this world? NO we can’t but behold one day God will gather all the tribes of the children of Israel in the Promised Land. But Promised Land doesn’t belong to the Jews it belongs to God. The lord God said: [Your land must not be sold on a permanent basis because YOU DO NOT OWN IT, it belongs to God. You are as foreigners (strangers) who are allowed to make use of it, Leviticus 25: 23]
